Peter McKenzie Monologue: Stretcher Bearer

Tuesday 11 November 2pm – St Paul’s in the City

Following his moving performance Prince’s War — the story of his family’s horse used in WWII — Peter McKenzie returns with Stretcher Bearer, an adaptation of Bill Smith’s WWI tale about a boy from Taonui who served with the New Zealand Medical Corps.

Through heartfelt storytelling, Peter brings to life the courage, hardship, and humanity of those who carried the wounded from the battlefield. You will be drawn into a powerful and emotional journey that captures both the cost and the compassion of war.

Entry $5.00 pp includes afternoon tea.

All welcome, bookings not required.

“Cans Concert”:
Supporting City Mission

Saturday 22 November 2pm – St Paul’s in the City

Join us for an afternoon of singing, comedy, and a bit of fun — all in support of the City Mission.  Followed by afternoon tea.

About Our Church

Our mission is to proclaim and show the unconditional love of God

We are an active and welcoming church community in the heart of Whanganui.
At St Paul’s, you’ll find a Christ-centered community where the Scriptures are honoured, fellowship is genuine, and prayer is central. Whether you’re exploring faith or looking for a church home, you’re warmly invited to join us.

Our church is committed to serving Whanganui through practical outreach, generous giving, and shared lives. We believe in the power of the Gospel to bring transformation—both personally and across our city. Alongside other local churches, we are seeking God for revival, healing, and growth.

Come and be part of a community where Christ is central,
people are valued, and hope is shared.
